This ‪handmade‬ lantern lends the perfect amount of light and a natural ambiance to any room, both indoor & outdoor. There are dozens of apertures in this lantern (including circular cavity at the base) which allow the light to escape and cast lovely natural reflections all around.

The basket / cage is hand woven from palm leaves that are cut then dried for several days in a low fire kiln. Before the palm leaves are woven to the iron cage, a rich ‎espresso varnish applied by hand. Once the weaving has been completed several coats of a glossy lacquer are brushed on to protect the leaves from the elements, this also accentuates the natural beauty of the fibers.
